Chimera by jaguarcaine NC-17, Alec/Ames. This should be crack. It's not. It's a moving, emotional story that made me laugh out loud, squirm in my seat, and tear up a little bit. But it should still be crack. Alec goes into heat, Ames is the one who 'mates' with him.
